Started the day with bike ride, taking a slightlly different route to Roussillon, where I again bought a croissnt, cafe au lait, and newspapers.
Breakfast in the courtyard. Today Kevin served fresh apricot juice, banana yogurt, and pancakes with bananas and apricots. Yuummy.
After breakfast we headed just a few km to the west to the tiny village of Joucas, where we read the papers as we sipped cold Oranginas. Too hot for coffee.
Beyond a single restaurant and a small, epicerie, grocery store, Joucas is a quiet, arty village with many abstract wooden statues lining the streets and it seems likes every home is a work of art in itself.
We picked up some items for lunch back at our B&B where we'll spend the steamy afternoon reading and enjoying the pool.
We went to l'Auberge de Lagnes, about 30 minutes from here in the village by the same name. This was recommended by two guys who run a great restaurant in Avignon that we have visited on preivous trips. The village was very picturesque, and our meal was outstanding. Here are a few pix of our selctions.

I am beginning to think that all the best food in France is to be found outside of paris !! Yummy !
